'Wednesday, February 28, 2024': NEW DELHI, Feb 28: The CBI has summoned Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav as a witness for questioning on Friday in illegal mining cases, five years after registering the case. In a notice issued under section 160 of CrPC, the agency asked him to appear before it on February 29 in connection with the case registered in 2019, officials said. The section allows a police officer to summon witnesses in a probe. The case pertains to the issuance of mining leases in alleged violation of e-tendering process. The Allahabad High Court had ordered the probe.
'Tuesday, March 19, 2024': Jammu: The Public Relations Society of India, Jammu Chapter, organized a discussion on the book 'Modi Consensus: The Rediscovery of Bharat'. The discussion, held at the Press Club, attended by the author of the book, Dr. Swadesh Singh, and well known political leader of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Devender Singh Rana, as esteemed guests. LG Sinha, known as ‘Vikaspurush’ and has been making all out efforts to revive the economy of Jammu and Kashmir that has been affected due to COVID pandemic likewise other parts of the world besides partially due to the situation erupted in view of revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.LG Sinha will meet the Finance Minister for budget preparations 2022-23 that will remain focused on economic activities. Preparations are being made on bringing investment proposals of Rs 50,000 to 60,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir during the budget announcement next year.
