IS shoots 40 dead in Iraq

Dubai, Aug 22 : At least 40 people were executed by Islamic State militants in the Mosul city of Iraq.
The execution was carried out yesterday over charges of conspiring against the terrorist outfit in Mosul, Chinese daily Xinhua quoted a security official as saying. Those killed were accused of being former security members and helping several flee the city.
The bodies, along with a list of names, were sent to a hospital in Mosul. All the victims were shot in the head.
