DSEJ changed school timings

Jammu: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has issued new orders regarding the change in school timings for both government and private (recognized) schools in the Jammu Division. According to Order No. 306-DSEJ of 2024, the revised timings will apply to schools in both the Summer and Winter Zones of the region.
In the Summer Zone, all schools will follow the timing of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the month of October 2024. However, beginning from November 1, 2024, the school hours will change to 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Exceptions to this timing include schools located within the limits of the Jammu Municipal Corporation and surrounding urban areas, where the timings will remain from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
For schools in the Winter Zone of Jammu Division, the new timing of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM will be implemented starting from October 1, 2024.
The DSEJ has made it clear that any deviation from these orders will result in action against the institution, in accordance with the rules currently in place.
