Fromer JKAS’s construction halted

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police and Forest Department today stopped the construction work of a building being built on forest land by a retired KAS officer, here in Bathindi area.
Based on the information of encroachment of forest land, a team from the forest department rushed to the Police Station Trikuta Nagar and Police Post Bathindi to get the construction work of the building stopped.
Later, based on the complaint, a police team along with the forest department employees reached near Macca Masjid Complex,Bathindi where construction work of a building was in full swing by one Mohd Afzal (retired KAS) officer.
The construction work was stopped and the encroacher was asked to clear his position.
