SED invites applications for JKBOSE chairman, JKSCERT dir

Srinagar: In a significant development, the School Education Department (SED) on Monday invited applications from eligible candidates for the appointment of Chairman JK Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director JKSCERT.
As per the notification issued by the SEED, online applications have been invited from the eligible candidates of the country for appointment to the posts of Chairman, JKBOSE and Director JKSCERT.
“The applications are invited as per the eligibility criteria given in the advertisement notice which is available on the official website of the department jkeducation.gov.in,” the notification reads.
As per the notice, eligible candidates have been informed to fill in the application forms through the application link provided on the official website of the department by or before January 20 of 2025. “The eligible candidates must also download a copy of the application form through the official website of the department and shall submit the hard copy of the duly filled in application form in the office of Principal Secretary to the Government,” the SED notification reads.
The applicants have been asked to please contact Peer Zahid Ahmad, Deputy Secretary to the Government, School Education Department on 9906404318, in case of any issues faced while applying for the post.
As already reported by this newspaper, the J&K Government reconstituted a search committee for recommending the panel of the candidates for the appointment as Chairman JKBOSE) and the Director JKSCERT).
The search committee was constituted in supersession of the Government order number 252 of 2023.
The committee is headed by Administrative Secretary Agricultural Production Department as its chairman while the Administrative Secretary of School Education Department (SED), GAD and Higher Education Department (HED) will be the members of the committee.
The other two members of the search committee are Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir (KU) and Vice Chancellor University of Jammu (JU).
