10 JO appointed for anti-corruption cases

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government's Department of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs has appointed 10 Judicial Officers as Special Judges to handle anti-corruption cases. These appointments, made under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, supersede earlier notifications. The officers will preside over cases within their respective territorial jurisdictions, focusing on offences specified under section 4 of the Act. This move aims to streamline the trial process in corruption-related matters across the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, the government also appointed Renu Dogra and Prem Sagar as the Principal Judge of the Family Court in Srinagar and the Additional Judge of the Family Court in Jammu, respectively.


IPS AK Mishra relieved From J&K
Jammu: : The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir has officially relieved IPS officer Ashish Kumar Mishra from his duties in the Union Territory.
This move facilitates his transfer to a new assignment with the Delhi Police.
According to the Government Order No. 416-Home of 2023, issued today, Mishra is being relieved to take up his new role in New Delhi, following approvals from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Election Commission of India.
The order, signed by Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti, marks the end of Mishra's tenure in Jammu and Kashmir as he transitions to his new position.
