Apart from BJP, five candidates from other political parties viz National Conference,Peoples Democratic Party,Bahujan Samaj Party, NCP and DPAP filed their nomination papers. Three more candidates including a disgruntled leader of BJP also filed their nomination papers as Independent candidates, here today.
Furthermore, backed by another disgruntled BJP’s stalwart, another ex SSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police namely Mohan Lal Kaith is expected to file his nomination paper as an Independent candidate from Marh constituency as people started gathering for him at Kaith Filling Station along Ring Road at Marh.
BJP candidate from Ramgarh, Devender Manyal, accompanied by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, on Tuesday filed his nomination.A large number of enthusiastic BJP workers and supporters followed Manyal in the form of a procession. They also danced to the drum beats and distributed sweets on the occasion.
BJP candidate from RS Pura South, Dr. Narendra Singh Raina, filed his nomination papers. He was accompanied by former union minister Anurag Thakur. Thakur and Raina led a road show of thousands of workers and supporters of BJP, which started from the BJP Mandal office in Gangyal. Raina filed his nomination at the Returning Officer's office at SDM RS Pura. Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that this time the BJP will form a government on its own in J&K, as the Modi government has permanently ended the menace of separatism and terrorism by abrogating Article 370.
He reminded everyone that BJP had promised the abrogation of Article 370, which it delivered, and assured that it will fulfill all future promises as well.
BJP candidate from Udhampur East, RS Pathania, filed his nomination. Earlier, led by Pathania, thousands of supporters and workers of the BJP took out a procession in a show of strength.
BJP candidate from Billawar Assembly constituency, Satish Sharma, filed his nomination in presence of Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh.
Earlier, Dr Jitendra Singh and Satish Sharma led a road show in Billawar in which thousands of BJP workers and supporters participated.
The upbeat workers and supporters of the BJP raised slogans like, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, 'BJP Zindabad-2’, ‘Satish ji Aage Bado Hum Tumhare Saath Hain’ etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh said that BJP is getting support from every section of the society from all across J&K. “BJP will form its next government in J&K with full majority,” Singh said.
Mohan Lal Bhagat,ex SSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the BJP candidate from Akhnoor, filed his nomination in presence of G. Krishna Reddy, the BJP Election Incharge for J&K.
A road show was also taken out in Akhnoor, which was led by Reddy and Mohan Lal. Thousands of BJP workers and supporters, including youth and elderly, participated in a roadshow which passed through different areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy exuded confidence that BJP will form its own government in J&K as it is getting overwhelming support from all across J&K.
“There is strong wave in favor of BJP,” Reddy said and urged the party workers to make people aware about welfare schemes and development works of the Modi Government.
Chaudhary Gharu Ram, ex minister of Congress party in the erstwhile state, filed his nomination papers as the DPAP (Democratic Progressive Azad Party) candidate for the RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly Constituency). He was accompanied by former minister and General Secretary of DPAP, R S Chib, at the SDM office in RS Pura. Following the submission of the nomination papers, Chaudhary Gharu Ram organized a rally in the RS Pura market to showcase his political strength.
Tilak Raj Bhagat, BSP candidate from 72 Bishnah Assembly Constituency, reached at BDO office Bishnah and filed his nomination.
Candidate of NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) Bishan Das, also submitted his nomination form for the Bahu constituency in the J&K Assembly elections at the SDM office in Jammu South, Gadigarh.
National Conference candidate Joginder Singh alias Kaku filed his nomination for 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency Election 2024. He was accompanied by DDC Dansal Shamim Begam, BDC DansalCh.Rehamit Ali and other ex sarpanches.
Aditya Gupta , filled his nomination on the mandate of PDP (People Democratic party) from 76 Jammu East Assembly Constituency.
Adv.Chander Mohan Sharma, who denounced BJP,reached ARO East Office Jammu where he filed his nomination as Independent candidate from 76 Jammu East Assembly Constituency.
Akash Singh Slathia filed his nomination as an Independent candidate from Jammu North 79 assembly constituency .
Another Independent candidate namely Sahil Sharma reached ARO West Office Jammu where he filled his nomination from 78 Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
