This provision allowed voters to cast their ballots from the comfort of their homes.
In Kulgam, 195 votes were cast across the district’s three constituencies. A PwD voter from Hallen in AC 38-D.H.Pora expressed his gratitude for the effort made by the ECI to enable him to vote despite his challenges.
Similarly, voters from Devsar, Kulgam, and Kund also lauded the initiative, with Haleema Begum from AC 40-Devsar sharing her appreciation for the opportunity to vote comfortably from her home.
Meanwhile, in Shopian, 128 votes were recorded out of the 138 eligible home voters. The polling teams trekked miles to ensure the participation of voters in the two Assembly Constituencies, 37-Shopian and 36-Zainapora. The pending votes are expected to be cast on the second day of the home voting process.
