LG emphasises vital role of writers in progress of society

Srinagar: Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted the crucial role of writers in societal progress and nation-building while addressing the ‘Akhil Bhartiya Kavi Sammelan’ at Raj Bhawan.
The event marked the conclusion of the three-day literary festival ‘Jashn-e-Sangam,’ organized by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti.
During his address, the Lt Governor praised the contributions of poets and writers in shaping ideas and preserving cultural heritage.
He emphasized that the knowledge, imagination, and fresh perspectives offered by writers significantly contribute to the prosperity and well-being of society.
The event was attended by notable literary figures, including Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary of the Culture Department, Dr Mandeep K. Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor, and Harvinder Kour, Secretary of JKAACL.
